Insurance: We offer direct billing for most major insurance providers. If you have acupuncture coverage please fill in your card details in the online intake form.

Arrival time: PLEASE DON’T ARRIVE EARLY FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT. This is important as it can be disruptive for both clients and practitioners. Arriving about five minutes beforehand is totally fine.

Can’t find a time that works? Join our waitlist to be notified of when openings come up or shoot us an email and we’ll figure something out.

Students: Get 20% off private treatments with student ID.

Looking for more affordable care? Buy a 5-treatment community acupuncture punch pass, pick it up in clinic, and treatment cost drops to $25 per session.

Masking: Masks are required in community acupuncture sessions, and optional in private treatments. We always have masks available on site.

Cancellations: We require 24-hrs notice of any changes to your appointments. No-shows and late cancellations are subject to a $35 fee for community acupuncture and the full treatment price for private sessions.

Private Acupuncture

Private treatments give us a chance to slow down and work more closely. These sessions may include manual muscle testing, soft tissue manipulation, tuina massage techniques, cupping therapy, electro-acupuncture, guasha and/or a postural assessment. Please note: private acupuncture sessions are given on heated massage tables.

Community Acupuncture

At Rooted Rose, we proudly offer Community Acupuncture; a model which aims to lower the socio-economic barriers preventing people from accessing care. These treatments are open to everyone and are given in a quiet group setting on recliner chairs. Please note: others will be resting nearby in their respective chairs while treatment is in process. As such, please be as quiet as possible. For many, community acupuncture provides space to rest and reset. It's meant to be a pretty calming environment and often people fall right asleep during treatment.

Hi, I’m Bria! I’m a registered acupuncturist and owner of Rooted Rose Community Acupuncture.

I studied Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Kootenay Columbia College in Nelson, BC, and am currently undergoing advanced training in Sports Medicine Acupuncture through AcuSport Education. In my practice, I often help patients struggling with chronic pain, postural imbalances and acute injuries.

Together, we can address challenges such as sprains, referred pain, muscle tension, nerve impingement, headache, and limited range of motion. My goal here is to work alongside you to address the root cause of your concerns, and improve your symptoms and overall well-being.

I’m also passionate about using acupuncture for nervous system regulation. It can be a really powerful and fast-acting tool for those dealing with from anxiety, depression and PTSD. My approach here is to create a compassionate and supportive environment where you can find relief and strengthen your mental and emotional health.

I am committed to providing a safe and welcoming space where all bodies can heal and thrive. I believe that health can be achieved at all sizes, and I strive to ensure that this is an inclusive and body-neutral environment.
